We're smack dab in the middle of the busiest time of the year. Everyone's traveling to visit relatives and loved ones, and many of us have spent entirely too much time in the car lately. I don't know about you, but one of the only good things about long road trips to me are the snacks! Growing up, trail mix was a road trip staple, and now I always have a snack mixture beside me when I'm traveling.
I chuckled to myself the whole time as I prepped for this recipe. "Trail mix isn't a recipe," I thought, "I'm literally just tossing nuts with fruit and candy."
Pop open a bag while watching a movie and you'll find yourself with nothing but greasy fingers an hour later. Pick some up on your way to the party you forgot to make an appetizer for, and they'll still disappear in record time. Potato chips are America’s favorite snack for a salty, crunchy, over-the-top addictive reason. I personally prefer the potato chip that folds into itself in the fryer, the kind with a crunch that echoes throughout the house.
