You picked a bad day to start your diet — especially if you live in one of 15 recently revealed states. Krispy Kreme has announced they’ve started rolling out online ordering and delivery, allowing patrons within range of about 100 participating stores to order select items for pickup or delivery.
While we’re still a few months out from beach days and 80-degree weather, next week, Krispy Kreme is bringing a little slice of summer to its stores. From April 22 through April 28, the fan-favorite Lemon Glazed Doughnut will return to the menu—a limited-edition flavor that beat out caramel, maple, and blueberry in a vote conducted by two million customers last year.
Thanksgiving has come and gone, officially putting an end to all of the “It’s too early for Christmas” arguments. Quite the contrary, now all the brands that were polite enough to not roll out their seasonal menu in August have to scramble to fill us in on what they have planned for the holidays.
By no means do doughnuts have to be associated with a particular time of year, but if they did, certainly autumn would be a prime candidate for doughnut season. Whether it’s cider doughnuts, maple glazing, or just cool enough weather to whip out the deep fryer, there's a bevy of reasons doughnuts are ideal as the harvest months arrive. And chief among those reasons is Halloween.
