Le Creuset's Newest Dutch Oven Collection Is a Must-Have for Baseball Fans
Baseball enthusiasts know a thing or two about being part of dedicated fandoms, and the same goes for Le Creuset lovers. Drafting the best rookie or snagging the best limited-edition pan is a point of pride only their fellow fans will understand. For the first time, though, both fandoms will have eyes on the same prize: Le Creuset's brand new collaboration with the MLB.
Four cornerstone teams will have their own enameled 7.25-quart Dutch oven in four of the brand's classic colors. The limited-edition "MLB Signature Series" includes the Chicago Cubs in Marseille, the Boston Red Sox in Cerise, the Los Angeles Dodgers in Clean White, and the New York Yankees in Indigo. Each oven is embossed with the team logo and has a stainless steel knob on the lid. That's right, the stars have aligned for bringing your favorite team to dinner.
For baseball fans, we don't need to explain the reasons to rep your team, but those unfamiliar with Le Creuset should know this Dutch oven style is easily the most popular (and coveted) of the brand's entire line. It has a lifetime warranty, is easy to clean, and does pretty much everything from braising and slow-cooking to deep-frying and baking. The enameled surface is dishwasher-safe and requires no seasoning to work like a charm. The durable enamel resists any chipping, staining, or dulling (so that Red Sox red will never fade to pink). It's compatible with all cooktops and is oven-safe up to 500 degrees.
Le Creuset's first licensing agreement with Major League Baseball comes just in time for this season to get into full swing and conveniently right before Mother's and Father's Day. Fans can shop the series starting today at lecreuset.com or williams-sonoma.com; the ovens currently retail at $450 (the classic 7.25-quart is $410). See below for all four signature pieces, and keep in mind the stock might not last.
