"It’s the first time both Mississippi State and Ole Miss take a perfect record into October since 1961," ESPN's College GameDay tweeted earlier this morning. On Saturday, the two undefeated Mississippi teams will host another pair of undefeated teams, making this the biggest college football weekend in Mississippi... ever.

The Ole Miss Rebels, ranked 11th in the Associated Press poll, will take on the No. 3 ranked team, the Alabama Crimson Tide, for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff in Oxford. The Mississippi State Bulldogs, ranked 12th, will host the No. 6 ranked team, Texas A&M, for an 11:00 a.m. kickoff. For the first time ever, ESPN's GameDay will broadcast live from one school, while the SEC Network's SEC Nation game-day show will be at the other. It's sure to be a day full of excitement for Mississippi fans!

There's no doubt about it: Mississipians love to party. Tailgating is not just something to do before kickoff; it's a lifestyle, and people take it seriously. Whether you normally cheer for the Rebs or the Bulldogs, this weekend is a time for all Mississipians to unite with pride for both of their exceptional teams. Be sure to show up to the tailgate looking stylish, decked out from head to toe in your team's colors, and ready for a good time. We've put together a menu of Southern classics to make sure you don't end up in the stands on an empty stomach. Enjoy!
