Grilling doesn't have to be daunting. In fact, it can be the best thing you do for yourself all summer. It gets you outside, keeps the kitchen cool, and provides you with amazing flavor you just can't get on a grill pan inside (sorry, apartment dwellers!).

One question you need to ask yourself is: Gas or Charcoal? If you're short of time, gas is the way to go. It fires up quickly with almost zero effort on your part. Charcoal takes just slightly longer--the coals need to fire then cool down until they're gray. If you've got the time, it's hard to beat the taste of chicken, ribs, or burgers just off a charcoal grill!

Once you've picked your grill, you need three things to make your life easier. Can you guess what they are?
