Followed recipe. Grilled the red onion (personal preference), lightly toasted the buns and made a sriracha mayo. Quick & good.
Love these. Incredibly easy to make. Only did the onions and burgers and the whole family including young kids loved them.
This is a good simple, unfussy burger, coming from someone who typically considers hamburgers boring. I used 85% lean ground beef, made the patties a bit smaller and left off the tomato and onion; but otherwise followed the recipe. Fish sauce is something I wouldn't have thought of to add, but it does impart an unexpected depth of flavor without tasting "Asian" or "fishy". It's a good basic burger recipe and I would make it again.
