What sets these next-level crispy bars apart from your average Rice Krispies Treat? Well, in addition to the traditional buttery-sweet marshmallow and rice cereal base, we mixed in kettle-cooked potato chips for added crunch and a salty kick, upped the decadence with chocolate-covered peanuts, and added another level of sweetness with toasty graham crackers. In other words, we do not use the word “ultimate” lightly. Enjoy these crispy rice treats for an extra-special snack or after-dinner indulgence.
3 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal
2 cups wavy kettle-cooked potato chips, crushed
2/3 cup chocolate-covered peanuts, roughly chopped
2 graham crackers, broken into 1/2-in. pieces
1/4 cup salted butter
1 (10.5-oz.) bag miniature marshmallows
How to Make It
Stir together cereal, chips, peanuts, and graham crackers in a large bowl.
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium. Add marshmallows, and cook, stirring constantly, until smooth. Pour mixture over cereal mixture, and stir gently until thoroughly combined. Transfer mixture to an 11- x 7-inch baking dish, and smooth top. Let stand until set, 10 to 15 minutes. Cut into 12 squares.
