How to Make It

Step 1

Arrange green beans in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam 6 minutes or until crisp-tender.

Step 2

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in green beans, thyme, salt, and pepper; cook until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle beans with almonds.

Step 3

* 1 to 2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme may be substituted for the dried thyme. 1 tablespoon chopped toasted almonds may be substituted for the smoked almonds.

Note: Smoked almonds may be found in the snack section of the supermarket.
