Makes 6 servings

How to Make It

Step 1

Combine first 7 ingredients and 1 tablespoon cilantro. Shape mixture into 6 (1/3-inch-thick) patties.

Step 2

Heat a lightly greased large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties; reduce heat to low, cover, and cook 8 to 10 minutes per side or until center is no longer pink. Remove from skillet. Wipe pan clean.

Step 3

Whisk together gravy mix, broth, tomatoes with chiles, and remaining 1 tablespoon cilantro. Cook over medium heat 1 minute or until thickened. Return patties to skillet, and cook until thoroughly heated. Garnish, if desired.

My kids absolutely love this recipe, but I don't use the Cilantro and I use just chopped tomatoes without the chiles. This just makes the recipe a little less spicy.

Clipped this recipe years ago. Love it! Lighten it up a bit. Used Boca Burger cooked with taco seasoning,small amount of salsa and cilantro. Made smashed potatoes with cauliflower. Kept the gravy the way it is. Forgot how much we loved this

This is an easy weeknight meal. It's great for teenagers. Not meant to impress but a favorite with the kids - inexpensive to fix, too.

There were too many things about this recipe I didn't like. However, my family did like the gravy. I would like to try and dredge cube steaks with the ingredients in the meat patties. We liked the heat of the dish. Just wasn't for us. Don't know if I would take the time to make all the adjustments I think necessary to make it again. Way too many recipes I would rather try.
