Whether you spoon Tangy Slaw onto your hot dog or eat it on the side, this refreshing side adds some crunch to the menu. Try Tangy Slaw with fish tacos, toos.

How to Make It

Step 1

In a small pan, combine sugar and vinegar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Transfer to a bowl and let cool completely.

Step 2

Combine coleslaw mix, celery, bell pepper, onion and celery seed in a large bowl and toss with vinegar mixture. Cover and refrigerate for about 6 hours.

Step 3

Drain off excess liquid, season with salt and pepper and serve.

Nice lower cal. recipe & great with picnic foods & seafood (fish tacos, etc.)

By itself this was a very cool coleslaw.  With fish tacos it absolutely rocked!  It does require advance planning and a little work, but it is well worth the effort.  Will definitely make again.
