This zesty condiment is great with grilled steaks, pork, or chicken. Refrigerate extra up to a week.

How to Make It

Combine ketchup, coffee, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, and chili powder in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in pepper, balsamic vinegar, and soy sauce.

Loved this sauce. No reason to buy jars of barbecue sauce if it's this easy. I made 1/3 the recipe (there are only two of us) with leftover breakfast coffee, covered a cookie sheet with foil, then cooking spray. Brushed sauce on chicken leg quarters and roasted for 1 hour in a 375 oven with sweet potatoes, put asparagus next to chicken and potoatoes for the last 20 minutes of cooking. Squeezed lemon juice over everything with plenty of black pepper and garlic salt. Fabulous, easy, no clean up.

Very good! Used it for barbecued chicken and it was delicious.
