These seasoned pecans are a great topping for salads or eaten as a stand-alone snack.


How to Make It

Step 1

Stir together 1/4 cup sugar and warm water until sugar dissolves. Add pecans; soak 10 minutes. Drain; discard liquid.

Step 2

Combine 2 tablespoons sugar, chili powder, and red pepper. Add pecans; toss to coat. Place pecans in a single layer on a lightly greased baking sheet.

Step 3

Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until golden brown, stirring once.

Delicious! Followed recipe exactly for the salad, then promptly made another batch for a snack because they were so good. These would be a nice gift if well packaged.

I made these over the Holiday season several times. Twice as a part of the salad , and again just to give as a snack. People really like these pecans! I had bought toasted pecans so I only baked them for five minutes.
