I've made an almost identical recipe for years and my suggestion if you're going to try it is to cook it covered the entire time for the most tender result. A heavy lidded Dutch oven works the best.
This recipe looks delicious, and I look forward to making it. I have to point out, the total time shown does not match the times listed in the instructions. The instructions call for almost two hours of time, which seems reasonable. The box with the prep time and total time show 25 minutes. This is misleading.
I have never before added a review to something I hadn't made so this is a first and I do apologize. The recipe sounds amazing but in the gravy portion which is 1 cup of liquid from already salted meat it says to add 2 teaspoons of salt. Beware, taste first, and only then add increments of salt until it tastes perfect to you.
