  • Place 9 French bread slices in a single layer in the bottom of a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish, and top with cream cheese slices. Place remaining French bread slices on top of cream cheese.

  • Whisk together eggs and next 3 ingredients; pour over bread. Cover and chill 8 hours.

  • Remove from refrigerator, and let stand at room temperature 30 minutes before baking.

  • Bake at 350° for 45 minutes, shielding with aluminum foil after 20 minutes to prevent excessive browning.
