An odd combo

This just was not to our liking. I don't feel it worked with the cake. I would however serve the balsamic & brown sugar macerated strawberries over a spinach salad or mixed greens. But definitely never again with cake. Must be an acquired taste.

If you are seeking an easy, but elegant dessert, this recipe was made for you. The snap of balsamic vinegar mixed with brown sugar, plus the flavor of the strawberries is incredible. It is an interesting dessert and everyone has loved it. I add sprigs of mint for additional color and shaved dark chocolate. Voila!

The combination of the tang from the vinegar, the sweetness from the strawberries, and the lightness of the angel food cake made this a refreshing spring or summer dessert. Yum!
