Make an easy Asian-inspired meal for dinner tonight.

How to Make It

Step 1

Cut steak in half lengthwise. Cut each half across the grain into 1/8-inch-thick slices. Combine beef, soy sauce, garlic, and black pepper; toss well. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.

Step 2

Combine 1 1/2 tablespoons water, oyster sauce, and crushed red pepper in a small bowl; set aside.

Step 3

Cut broccoli into florets. Peel broccoli stems; cut stems diagonally into 1/4-inch-thick slices.

Step 4

Heat 1 tablespoon canola oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef mixture to skillet; cook 3 minutes or until beef is browned, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Transfer beef mixture to a bowl.

Step 5

Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon canola oil in pan over medium-high heat. Add broccoli; cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons water; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add bell pepper; cook 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Return beef mixture to pan. Stir in the oyster sauce mixture; cook until thoroughly heated. Serve over rice.

This is a favorite at our house but we have made a few changes from the original recipe. I normally marinate the meat for several hours and add extra garlic in the marinade. I also add slices of white onion with the veggies and skip the broccoli stems. The sauce isn't thick but it has great flavor and we have never added corn starch.

Easy recipe. Tasted fresh and health, with a hint of spicy. Add more sauce if you like extra, but I was fine with just a hint, letting the meat and veggies do the talking.

I made this tonight since I had some frozen stir beef thawing out already. I found this recipe since I had the ingredients on hand. It was easy to prepare and easy to follow the recipe although i saw a video prior to similar steps. Great flavor. You can never go wrong with Asian recipes for beef! I added white onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, some mini Asian Corn, broccoli, low sodium soy sauce, and some extra oyster sauce because i had lots of veggies. I made some home made baked spring rolls to go on the side Thanks for the quick and easy recipe! I will add this to my cookbook. Thanks for the calorie information too!

My husband decided to make this recipe himself. We didn't have oyster sauce but it was still delicious! This will be a repeat meal at our house!

the is a quick and delicious stir-fry. I doubled by sauce and added a little more water to cut the saltyness from the oyster sauce. I also thickened my sauce with about a tablespoon of cornstarch b4 adding to the pan.

My family really liked this meal. It had a bit of spice that we are not used to, but loved, and it was so easy to make on a hot day. Easy + quick marinade, and the oyster sauce tasted really great (never used before). I steamed frozen broccoli with frozen sugar snaps + pepper mix and added as a side. I will definitely be making this easy meal again!

This is an all-time favorite for my family. I have been making it about once a month since the recipe came out in July 2009. We love it. I make it as-is, except I add one onion, cut into quarters. I probably add more garlic, too - I just kind of toss some in. The sauce is not thick, but the rice soaks it up and it is very flavorful.
