It works EXCEPT the Avocado part. Due to the texture of the Avocado; it WILL NOT stay on the skewers. I would eat it and love Steak and Avocado. However it is simply a waste of time to try to put the Avocado on the skewers.
So I didn't mess with making kebabs this time. Instead I had 2 filets of beef, used the chili powder rub on them, and grilled them directly on our Traeger grill. I put the cherry tomatoes and cubed red onion in a grill basket. I just put the cubed avocado on the side. The flavors all paired well over some roasted garlic couscous. I just don't know about threading avocado chunks onto a skewer. Sounds like a mess waiting to happen.
