Sweet potatoes are just about the perfect food and this sweet potato recipe simply reinforces that. Throw them on the grill to bring out their natural sweetness, which you can balance with a little spice.

How to Make It

Step 1

Combine the first 4 ingredients in a small bowl.

Step 2

Combine oil and sweet potatoes in a medium bowl; toss to coat. Heat a large grill pan coated with cooking spray over medium heat. Add potatoes, and cook for 10 minutes, turning occasionally. Place potatoes in a large bowl; sprinkle with cumin mixture and cilantro. Toss gently.

Very good taste - the sweetness of the sweet potatoes goes well with the hot/smokiness of the spice mixture. A great way to get my "I don't like to eat healthy" husband to eat something with higher nutritional value. Nice compliment to the blue-cheese burgers we had with it.

This recipe is quick and easy. I did half the amount of cilantro just because I think it can be overpowering. I love how the cumin balances the sweetness of the potatoes. I'll definitely make this again.

Tasty side dish that comes together quickly. I cut the potatoes a bit thicker than ¼ inch and steamed to partly cook. Went well with grilled pork chops!

Super recipe. We peeled the potatoes and baked them for about 20 minutes so that we could slice them. Delicious.
