Reviews for Spiced Pork Tenderloin with Sautéed Apples
I made this for company last night, just per the recipe, and it came out perfectly. I appreciated cutting the meat before cooking, because I never feel confident about large pieces of meat cooked on the stove top. I served this with brussel sprouts and a tossed salad to my carb-avoiding guests.
Excellent! I changed around one thing in mine. You can read about my finished dish here: http://thechefamy.blogspot.com/
I really liked this recipe. I did think that it called for too much apple cider - just a little too vinegary. I was thinking of cooking the tenderloin whole in the oven next time. Kind of a pain cutting it up and cooking each slice when I could just rub on the spices and cook it whole. Still, loved the flavors and the apples were very good.
This recipe is awesome. I reviewed it in detail here: misschefy.wordpress.com
I thought this was really easy and had fabulous flavor.
This was outstanding! Even my husband who doesn't like apples really enjoyed it, and asked for me to make it again. I don't know what kind of apples I used (just what was left from our trip to the orchard), and I used a non-stick pan. Will be making again this weekend!
My fiance' and i really enjoyed this meal!! the sauteed apples really made the meal. i served w/baked sweet potatoes. i used Pink Lady apples b/c that is what i had on hand. Very tasty! looking forward to our leftovers tonight!
I made this tonight and my husband and I both thought this was outstanding! I followed the instructions and didn't change a thing. You definitely need to do this in a cast iron skillet, or at least NOT a non-stick pan. It has great fall flavors and was easy to make- the longest part of the prep was slicing the apples. We're looking forward to the left-overs tomorrow.
Very good and quick weeknight meal. I subbed pork sirloin chops for tenderloin (increased cooking time a bit) and didn't have cider, so used apple juice with 1 tsp cider vinegar. I used Honeycrisp apple as that's what I had. Very tasty pan juices. Will make again.
Very, very good. Great company dish. Easy to make. I did not have apple sauce so just used water--no problem. Can't wait to make this again. I served with baked yam.
