We served this when we announced our engagement on Christmas. We used top shelf liquor and it was *fabulous*! We've served it since with less expensive liquor and it wasn't quite as good. I guess you really do get what you pay for...

We made this cocktail for a small Christmas dinner party. When I first tasted it, I thought, "Oh, this is pretty good but nothing outstanding," as the tequila taste and apple cider seemed to predominate above all else. As our guests arrived, each had a glass and seemed to enjoy--and as the night progressed, everyone seemed to want more and more. We ended up making 3 or 4 pitchers of the drink to satisfy our guests!
