  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions, omitting salt and oil. Drain and set aside.

  • Sauté garlic in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 1 minute. Add tomatoes, and cook, stirring occasionally, 12 to 15 minutes or until sauce is thickened and chunky. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, salt, and pepper.

  • Add cooked spaghetti and mint to sauce in skillet, tossing to coat. Sprinkle with cheese.
