I was going to make spaghetti and meatballs but ran out of energy for it, so I needed a good, fast meat sauce recipe. This fit the bill. It was delicious and perfect for a weeknight dinner. I followed the recipe to the letter except for using crushed tomatoes instead of puree, because that's what I had on hand. Still worked great, in fact I think the crushed tomatoes gave it some great body. I look forward to making this again.
I used bison meat, a little bit of garlic and crushed tomatoes, 1.5 cups of beef broth and italian seasoning- very good. Will be my go to spag sauce
The sauce ended up quite different than I had imagined it. It totally isn't like a canned spaghetti sauce. But with that being said, it was really yummy! I did add a dash of crushed red pepper. I will make it again sometime.
