This spicy, creamy sauce goes perfect with grilled shrimp. Make this easy sauce ahead and then use it to top your taco for a perfect hint of Southwest flavor.

How to Make It

Whisk together sour cream; garlic, red onion; chili powder; cumin; ground red pepper; and salt. Whisk in cilantro and lime juice until smooth. Cover and chill until ready to serve.

I made this tonight thinking it would be a good sauce on top of southwest chicken tacos, with a lil black beans, corn, lettuce, tomato and freshly sliced lime wedges, and avocado...I was sadly disappointed...it seemed to lack flavor I was looking for...may have been better if I had added some Chipotle seasoning...I dunno, I was looking for some bang. But oh well....I will have to keep looking. But mayb this wud b good for people who don't like alot of spice, and heat...

Made the cream sauce the night before and it was perfect! I used creole seasoning instead of red pepper. Just the right amount of spice. I wanted to just eat this with chips. So yummy!

This is FANTASTIC! This has SO much flavor, it is not for someone who does not like spices or spicy flavor! I have a pretty mild tounge and like spices more than spicy...And this has the yin yang PERFECT balance of BOTH :)
