TOO SWEET! Look, I live in South Carolina and I was born here so I know all about sweet tea. If you go to any restaurant or fast food place and order tea around here it will knock your block off. It's one tea bag and 5lbs of sugar! Oh I know they use a few tea bags but they really do use 3 cups of sugar per gallon. It's awful! Here is the recipe I grew up with and then adjusted to add green tea. 4 - Family size tea bags 3 - Green tea bags 1 - Gallon of water 1/2 - 2/3 cup of sugar. Plenty of tea taste, which I love, and enough sweetness to satisfy.
