These nachos were so awesome. My husband said they were the best he'd ever had. I used these substitutions: 1 cup 2% cottage cheese + 2 tbsp lemon juice + 2 tbsp almond milk, whirled in blender until smooth instead of sour cream. I used frozen shrimp, thawed. I used Target canned crab, 3/4 can. I left out the jalapeños. I decreased the cumin to 2 tsp. I increased the garlic to a tbsp. I served it with guacamole. Better than a restaurant. Thank you so much. So easy.
The recipe is scrumptious as written. My only suggestion would be to cut the shrimp in half for better distribution and to add some extra sliced green onions on top after broiling.
Made this dish exactly as written. Used Maryland lump blue crab (only the best), but thought the recipe is slightly bland and missing something that should be mixed in for flavor. Perhaps saute the crab and shrimp in white wine and add Old Bay seafood seasoning to the sour cream.
This recipe is absolutely delicious! I've served it a half dozen times and everyone loves it and hounds me for the recipe. I usually add a bit more cumin and additional jalepenos to spice it up a bit more. But it's a real crowd pleaser!
This is super good! I added white wine for cooking the shrimps and my God< It is been a while since eating something that Yummy, My son, 10 and my husband loved it too! I'm sending to my mom, in Quebec Canada. They will do it this week-end!
