We whisked the oil & soy sauce to combine before tossing the spears. Out of the oven, sprinkled with a very small bit of sesame seed & tossed again. Served with saffron rice & CL's coconut curry halibut. (technique also good with carrot spears or green beans, just adjusting cooking time as needed)
Crispy, crunchy, flavorful...and all with next-to-no-calories! Be sure to use roasted sesame oil (International Foods is great) for the best sesame flavor. And try sprinkling with either white or black toasted sesame seeds. I've served this hot, straight out of the oven and also at room temperature. Either way works.
This is a standard side dish for us all year round, I serve it to guests and people are always so surprised to find out how healthy this is.
