How to Make It

Pulse first 5 ingredients in a blender 2 or 3 times or until smooth. With blender running, add oil in a slow, steady stream; process until smooth. Stir in seeds; chill 24 hours.

Substitute half of sugar with Splenda. Good with chicken on salad too.

Everyone loved the Spinach-Strawberry salad that accompanies this recipe-- I added red onions and crumbled some bacon on the salad. Our guests did not mind the dressing but my husband and I struggled with it. The amount of sugar in the dressing overpowered the rest of the ingredients. Also, the sugar made the dressing more like a thick, grainy syrup that was difficult to pour over the salad. It kind of clumped on the spinach leaves, rather than coat them.

Made this dressing to go with Spinach and Strawberry Salad and loved it. It makes a lot and we didn't use that much, so maybe next time I'll only make half. My in-laws all loved the salad, too. I got lots of compliments.
