Serves 4 (serving size: about 1/2 cup)

Don't confuse Broccolini with broccoli rabe­. Think of it instead as young broccoli, with tender stalks and a milder flavor.


How to Make It

Step 1

Place Broccolini in a large skillet; drizzle with 1/4 cup water. Cover and cook over medium-high heat 5 to 6 minutes. Uncover and cook for 30 seconds or until liquid evaporates. Remove ­Broccolini from pan.

Step 2

Add oil to pan; swirl to coat. Add garlic; cook 30 seconds or until just golden, stirring frequently. Return Broccolini to pan; toss to coat. Sprinkle with salt.

I made half a pound and still used 3 garlic cloves.  Crunchy and tasty.  Slice the garlic as per the recipe, do not mince.   The slices are crisp and wonderful.
