I made this last night and the sauce is really good. Mine thickened very nicely. This sauce can be used on other meats and even a heartier fish. Pretty much pantry ingredients you have on hand! We grilled the steak and it was perfect after about 5-6 minutes total - so super quick dinner.
Good recipe for a weeknight meal. I'd suggest going a little less for pink in the middle steak - maybe around 10 minutes total. Also, the sauce never thickened for me, so I had to mix in a bit of cornstarch and water mix (approx. 1 tsp). Otherwise, this was a quick and tasty, if not exactly amazing, dinner.
Excellent
Absolutely Awesome flavor!!! This has excellent balance of tang and spice. However, you definetly have to watch the broil time with the thickness of the meat. It cooked well done for an inch of meat in 6 minute time for me.
Very yummy. I followed the recipe exactly, but my steak cooked way too fast. (It might have been just my inexperience with cooking steak, though!) I served it with Mascarpone Mashed Potatoes (one of my community recipes), which soaked up the delicious sauce. I also made Baby Arugula Salad with Lemon Dijon dressing (a community recipe by sharky). The whole house smelled so good even after the food was gone. I will definitely be making this recipe again!
This was delicious! I followed the recipe and served over steamed rice and with steamed broccoli. Even my 4 year old son ate it and he isn't eating anything right now. It was slightly sweet but balanced by the savoriness of the seasonings on the steak.
Easy. Good. Great for weeknight shake-up.
