Sangría makes a festive prelude to a meal. Serve in ice-filled wineglasses.

How to Make It

Step 1

Combine the first 3 ingredients in a large pitcher, stirring mixture until the sugar dissolves.

Step 2

Press cloves into the rind strip. Add strip, cinnamon, and fruit to wine mixture. Chill for at least 30 minutes. Stir in club soda just before serving.

This sangria goes down easy! Almost too sweet from the sugar and orange juice, so I'd add brandy and less oj to make it a bit more bracing. Perfect for a hot summer night though, great cinnamon.

This sangria is amazing!! So simple and so tasty, I will probably start keeping a pitcher in my fridge every week. It's great because it's such a solid base recipe - you could add anything depending on the season, whatever is in your fridge (apples, peaches, berries, etc.). Definitely one of my new favorites!!
