1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 cup fat-free milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
How to Make It
Combine sugar and cocoa in a small saucepan; stir in milk and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate and vanilla, stirring until chocolate melts. Serve warm or let stand 10 minutes to thicken.
So yummy! I actually loved the fact that it wasn't too sweet, because it meant you really tasted the chocolate, not just sugar like with many commercial chocolate sauces. Wonderfully thick - perfect for dipping fruit - and so easy to make.
