We made this for a Christmas party, and after just 5 minutes out of the freezer, they were a gooey mess. If you picked one up, you had red goo all over your fingers. Personally, I wonder what's going on in the Southern Living Test Kitchen. I've made a few in the past couple of months that were total duds. Very unlike SL!!!
Same as above; did not set in spite of 24 hours in the fridge. Barely firm enough to cut after several hours in the freezer. Yes the taste was good but it didn't yield something that you could serve or gift, which makes it a failure for a holiday recipe. Something must have gotten left out in the instructions?
Made yesterday and after 24 hrs in fridge, not set enough to cut. I'm trying the freezer to see if I can at least get them firm enough to cut. But tasty.
