Go all-natural and serve a refreshing lemonade made from naturally-sweet mashed raspberries, lemon juice, and water. The sweet and tart combination will garner rave reviews. Add sugar to taste, and serve over ice.
1 cup rinsed fresh raspberries (6 oz.)
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup lemon juice
2 cups water
How to Make It
In a small bowl, with a potato masher or spoon, mash 1 cup rinsed fresh raspberries (6 oz.) with 2/3 cup sugar. Let stand 10 minutes. Press through a fine strainer into a pitcher (at least 1 1/2 qt.); discard seeds. Stir in 1 cup lemon juice and 2 cups water. Taste and add more sugar if desired. Pour into tall, ice-filled glasses.
I loved this recipe! I tripled it as I made it for a party. Next time I would squeeze lemons instead of using lemon juice, although even with the lemon juice the flavor was fantastic. I squeezed lemon on the rims of the glasses and dipped in sugar and chilled the glasses to add a special touch. Next time I will just chill the glasses (and not coat the rims in sugar) as the sugar froze to the glass rim.
It was easy to make and most importantly... was super fast!!
I used Splenda instead of sugar. The conversion chart said 1/3 cups of splenda but i think i needed more then that. Other than needing more sweetness it was fabulous!
this was good... i would definitely recommend using all fresh ingredients. also - don't expect the finished product to look like the picture. it is much pinker. i was using the recipe for a festive 4th of july drink. i had to add red food coloring to make it look red. good flavor, though!
I made this to last for a couple of days.. it lasted about 1 hour! I didn't even have the chance to refill my cup! It was absolutely great tasting! I made with fresh lemons from our lemon tree but I used frozen raspberries because that's what I had on hand. They were completely defrosted before I used. I'm making this again and again and again and again!!!
