This super easy banana pudding calls for just four ingredients: a banana, thawed whipping topping, prepared vanilla pudding, and vanilla wafers

How to Make It

Step 1

Cut half of 1 small banana into slices; keep other half in the peel and save for another use. Layer 1 (5-oz.) glass with 1 Tbsp. thawed nondairy whipped topping, one-fourth of banana slices, 1 Tbsp. vanilla pudding, another fourth of banana slices, and 1 vanilla wafer. Repeat. Dollop with 1 Tbsp. thawed nondairy whipped topping.

Step 2

Note: For testing purposes only, we used Hunt's Snack Pack Vanilla Pudding. One (5-oz.) pudding cup yields 6 Tbsp. pudding.

Chef's Notes

If you're serving a crowd, simply prepare the recipe as many times as needed.

Southern living? No way a southerner wrote that recipe or agreed to post it! Please take this down and put up a recipe for REAL banana pudding, which is fairly quick and easy and fun to make. No need for a glob of pre packaged pudding with a vanilla wafer stacked on top! As a southerner, i hope no one sees this or makes this and thinks it's real banana pudding....the real thing is pretty awesome!

Whoa,,Whoa!!  Hold your horses.  The title to this recipe is "Quick & Tasty"....  Not "Your Mother's Homemade Nanner Puddin "......I'm a cook myself...but sometimes I love that a recipe is simple and delicious, that comes to my rescue when I'm in a pinch for time!!!   This does the trick!

Great recipe! Me and my kids did this for snack and my kids asked for us to make some more! We used to have Banana Rhubarb Muffins which we found on GourmetRecipe.com but it's nice to try new things. I often check it out for recipes and cooking information including this website, KraftRecipes.com, Chocolarious.com, Everything-Cake.com, MilkDelight.com, and Gourmandia.fr for different moods and occasions. Thanks for this appetizing recipe! By the way, here's the link to the mentioned recipe: http://www.gourmetrecipe.com/recipes/banana-rhubarb-muffins

No way this recipe with INSTANT pudding is representative of true southern cooking! The Nilla Wafer box recipe is reliable and Maya Angelou's banana pudding is excellent: 3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar 1/3 cup cornstarch Pinch of salt 3 cups milk 8 eggs , separated 3 tablespoons butter 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract 3 cups vanilla wafers 4 ripe bananas , thinly sliced 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar http://www.oprah.com/food/Banana-Pudding#ixzz1SauKelwg

I love this recipe! My Mom makes the homemade version, which is very good, but I prefer this recipe.

Just as good as the "real" thing! I used mini trifle bowls that were a tad too big and I would use the mini vanilla wafers if I did them in those bowls again.
