Makes 3 cups (serving size: 1/4 cup)

Be sure to use old-fashioned regular oats in this oatmeal, not instant. Store granola in an airtight container up to one week.


How to Make It

Step 1

Stir together honey and next 2 ingredients in a small bowl. Stir together oats, flour, sliced almonds, and salt in a large bowl. Add honey mixture to oatmeal mixture, stirring until combined. Spread oat mixture onto a lightly greased baking sheet.

Step 2

Bake at 350° for 20 minutes, stirring often.

I was looking for a recipe that did not contain white flour or white sugar, and this was a great one. Just a few things I would modify. The liquid portion I didn't find to be enough (the consistency was too dry), so next time I would add a little more honey and one more tablespoon of butter. Also, for me, 20 minutes to bake it was way too long - it started to burn after 15 minutes, so I would say 12-15 minutes, stirring ever 3-4 min. is good.
