A classic gin sling is dressed for festive parties when made with seasonal pomegranate juice and decorated with crimson pomegranate fruit. Both simple syrup and agave syrup are widely available at liquor stores. To make your own simple syrup, boil 2 parts sugar to 1 part water, stirring just until sugar dissolves; reduce until thickened. Cool before using.

How to Make It

Combine first 4 ingredients; divide evenly between 2 chilled glasses; divide seeds between glasses. Garnish with lime slices.

Not sure what the purpose of the agave is.  86 that and sub in Rose's Lime.  Run the rims with fresh lime slices.Make sure to use a good dry gin.  We tried this with one of the more floral dutch gins (New Amsterdam), and I don't think it worked.  Boodles and the Rose's Lime was great.

What a great drink. Agree with not adding sugar syrup, was light and fresh. We did put a little sugar on the rim. So enjoyable, a keeper!

Very nice drink, but I skip the sugar syrup for a lighter taste. Have made with club soda or a bit of diet 7-up. Tastes fresh and delightful!

Increased proportions to make two versions, one using very cold 100% pom juice and one using the pom-blueberry blend. Though it's not traditional, also pre-chilled the Tanqueray. Sliced the lime very thin so it could try to float. Very pretty, lovely cocktail.
