Made but with modifications.
Used two 9 inch pans and batter spilled over in oven. Will fill pans less next time. Cake still came out delicious. Used 1 vanilla bean and a little extract.
Used about a cup and a half per buttercream instead of four as indicated. Had leftover buttercream as I preferred thinner buttercream layers. Will use less butter next time.
Couldn't find pistachio paste Anywhere so had to order online.
Did not use food coloring and cake still had lovely colors.
This cake takes a lot of work and is full of butter! It'll definitely fall under a special occasion cake for these two reasons.
Outcome though....absolutely Delicious! Received many compliments on taste and how beautiful it looked!
Note, recipe is for one cake and photo is shown making two cake split length wise for a total of four layers so I doubled each recipe.
