Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
Add pear and cranberries; stir gently. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes or until cranberries pop. Pour mixture into a medium-size bowl. Cover and chill 30 minutes. Serve chilled.
