Very ripe peaches that are soft, sweet, and juicy don't need to be steamed, and you may be able to puree them with just a fork or potato masher.

Step 1
Place peaches in a vegetable steamer. Steam, covered, 6 minutes or until tender.
Step 2
Place peaches in a food processor; process until smooth.
Step 3
Kitchen Tip The riper the fruit, the less steaming time it takes to soften the flesh, so use the lower end of the cook time range.
