THIS LEMONADE SUCKED THANKS FOR THE HORRIBLE LEMONADE, YOUR SO MEAN I HOPE YOU FIND A BETTER RECIPE.
The hardest part of the recipe was waiting the 3 hrs to refrigerate it! Mixed with a little bourbon and sprite makes for a very smooth cocktail
LOVED this lemonade. So tasty. I too added several more lemons. I also used my immersion blender instead of transferring it to my blender. Less mess and easier. saves a little on the dishes!
Great use of "seconds" peaches from the farmstand -- the kind orchards sell for less because they're not pretty or too ripe to hold. Be sure to strain after blending or you'll end up with thick peach nectar rather than peach juice. Taste before serving; ours was a bit too sweet so added two more lemons to balance.
Slightly more effort to make than regular lemonade but totally worth it. It was delight in a glass. Perfect for BBQ's on hot summer days (or anytime really!) Adults and children alike loved it. Has a thicker consistency then regular lemonade. I added about 3/4c of water to the finished product and felt that did the trick to tame the sweetness and thickness.
Very tasty summer beverage!! Also great for the kids!
Yum! I added some bourbon, lots of ice and stirred with a spring of mint. Lovely summer cocktail.
So good! Worth the effort!
Fantastic! I loved this recipe - used a mix of super ripe & juicy peaches with nectarines (~6-7 total) and 5 large lemons with a splash of lemon concentrate just to tame the sweetness. I let the whole mix sit overnight prior to straining the next day, and poured a bit of honey whiskey in each glass for the grown-ups! Wow this recipe is definitely a keeper and I love that I know what ingredients went into my drink instead of buying processed lemonade. Incredibly refreshing and not too sweet - super EASY - will definitely make again and again!
As other reviewers noted, it's a bit thick. But we "watered it down" with a splash of sparkling water and some honey bourbon, Yum!
This recipe is fantastic! The consistency is a bit thick, so we mixed it with a little diet lemon-lime soda and it was like a fancy sparkling peach lemonade (and it makes it stretch a little further too). We hope to mix it with champagne soon for a grown-up lemonade. I HIGHLY recommend this recipe. It is so worth the effort!
