Prepped to directions using white & sweet potatoes. Turned the potatoes half-way through. Served with CL's mushroom-beef burgers. Very good.
Outstanding! My teenager likes these fries better than the ones at the golden arches! I serve them with the Garlic-Thyme Burgers with Grilled Tomato from this same site.
Quick, easy and a healthier alternative to fast food fries. I've also added a bit of fresh parmesan and a variety of herbs to jazz them up a bit.
I took another reviewers suggestion and used a mandoline to cut the potatoes and then soaked them in water with a bit of salt for an hour, these were delicious. Definitely satisfies any fast food craving you may have. I found them seasoned fine with just the salt. I would definitely make these again, fast and easy!
For healthy fries, these are great. I used a mandoline slicer for uniform slices, and then let the potatoes soak in water with a little bit of salt for an hour before cooking them. I also dried them before tossing them with oil. They are crispier that way. Great with burgers.
