Finish off an Asian-inspired dinner with a tray of these delicious, easy-to-make cookies.

How to Make It

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°. Combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla in a large bowl; beat with a mixer at medium speed until fluffy. Add egg; beat just until blended. Beat in flour, baking soda, and salt.

Step 2

Beat 1/3 cup toasted sesame seeds, 2 table­spoons honey, and grated orange rind into cookie dough at medium speed. Place 1/3 cup toasted sesame seeds in a bowl; scoop dough by tablespoonfuls, and roll in sesame seeds. Arrange cookies 2 inches apart on parchment paper-lined baking sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Combine orange juice and 1 tablespoon honey in a bowl; drizzle mixture over cooled cookies.

I liked these cookies, definitely a different taste. I will make again, but next time will leave off the glaze. It was really quite thin and made some soggy spots on the cookies. Also made an already sweet cookie even sweeter

It is a sweet cookie with gentle touch of honey, orange and sesame. I reduced the white sugar to 1 cup. Will probably reduce brown sugar to 1/3 cup next time. Increased vanilla to 1/2 tablespoon and orange rind to 1 tablespoon. I also added another 1/4 cup flour. I rolled them to 1" balls but did not put on extra sesame seeds. And I did not glaze.
