Orange-glazed Tofu Triangles tasted great. I would have preferred noodles over the rice but I could always mix that in next time. This is good to make in the summer outside on the grill for a BBQ. I also would recommend using a tofu press like one from TofuXpress. Made getting the tofu firm so much easier than in past recipes. Good stuff.
Made this for Meatless Monday, doubling it for our family of 4, and using brown rice instead of white. I thought it was delicious, filling and easy to make. I especially loved the sesame rice that goes with it. I served it with steamed broccoli, although with the peas and carrots in the rice, you almost don't need a side dish. One thing that annoyed me was how the recipe calls for using a grill pan and then another pan to cook the rice. I used a large nonstick skillet to sear the tofu, and then I took the tofu out and kept it warm while I made the sesame rice in the same skillet - fewer dishes! Also, I don't know if "glazed" is quite accurate... "orange-marinated" would be more apt, because the marinade isn't really thick enough to make a glaze. Next time I might try adding the remaining marinade to the rice instead of mixing up some more soy sauce and chili sauce. And I don't think adding salt to the rice is necessary, especially when you're using soy sauce!
We grilled the tofu on our bbq after marinading it and basted it with the leftover marinade while it was cooking. The rice wasn't that flavorful...we added leftover marinade to it which helped. Overall it was a decent easy meal.
