Makes about 3 cups

How to Make It

Step 1

Beat first 3 ingredients at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.

Step 2

Gradually add powdered sugar alternately with 1 Tbsp. milk and orange juice, beating at low speed until blended and smooth after each addition.

Step 3

If desired, beat in remaining 1 Tbsp. milk, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency. Beat in food coloring until blended, if desired.

This was delicious! It tasted like an orange creamsicle! However, it was hard to get firm enough to spread. If I didn't add a lot more powdered sugar, the frosting would have ran off the sides of the cupcakes! I stuck it in the refrigerator to get a better consistency. Even though it tasted good, it was really sweet!

This icing is amazing!! Just finished making it and literally licked the mixing bowl clean! I did not make the citrus cupcakes with it but instead used store bought orange cake mix. I think i will try the recipe next time! Thank you.
