Won't be making this again. Didn't look like picture at all. I'd like to see Cooking Light revisit the recipe for accuracy. Wasn't very tasty either.
If you're trying to avoid the alcohol, there isn't much that can substitute for it. You could try lemonade but it is significantly sweeter and thinner than the Limoncello. Personally I would just eliminate it or add another tablespoon or two of the curd to maintain the lemony flavor and the consistency.
Can someone tell me how to store this if I want to make it ahead of time - fridge or freezer?
in Virginia limoncello is found at the ABC Stores and can be ordered if you prefer a certain brand ...I have also seen recipes to make your own version on other sites ...
Pretty yummy, but looks nothing like the picture. Limoncello and lemon curd are not that yellow.
Can I substitute anything for the Limoncello? I only rated it this way because I haven't tried it yet and am waiting for an answer to my question.
Yum! I recently made this for a dinner party and it was a big hit. Mine looked nothing like the picture though so it wasn't near as pretty but it was still delicious. I paired it with meringues from cooking light's double vanilla meringues
This is pretty, yummy, and easy. Doesn't get must better than that!
In a pretty dish, this is a great ending to a meal. I used it as a dessert after a Thai yellow curry with shrimp and pineapple, and it fit well. It would be good after anything hot and spicy, particularly if there's fruit involved. Also, it looks like the picture if you don't fully integrate the lemon mixture with the ice cream--just lightly stir it in, don't blend.
