I used lemons, limes and oranges in my power juicer to make 2 1/2 cups of juice, then made a simple syrup with 1 1/2 cups of sugar. I added these to a gallon pitcher and added water to make 1 gallon of citrusade. Sooo yummy!
Very tasty. Followed recipe without altering. Rind added visual appeal and flavor, but most people can't juice 13 lemons and grate two in ten minutes.Takes longer to make than the recipe says, but worth it.
Even using bottled lemon juice, this made a wonderful & refreshing lemonade. I used about 1.25 cup of sugar & sliced a lemon to toss in at the end instead of zesting the peel. Very tasty. Just the right amount of sweet & tart. This recipe will be permanently affixed on the fridge from now on.
