How to Make It

Process vegetable oil, sugar, fresh lemon juice, poppy seeds, finely chopped onion, Dijon mustard, and salt in a blender until smooth. Store in refrigerator up to 1 week; serve at room temperature.

I used a scant 1/4 cup of sugar and found that sweet enough. I also used half sesame oil. I did not use poppy seeds.

I used Sesame oil for half of the oil in recipe. Enhanced flavor and fragrance.

This dressing was just a little bit too sweet. Next time, I will cut the sugar to 1/3 cup and try grapefruit juice instead of lemon juice for a more 'Florida' taste. For such a simple dressing though, it really is good!
