My neighbor made these for a Derby party. She roasted her own turkey breast rather than use sliced deli meat and served them appetizer-style on sliced French rounds. Fantastic!

I adore this! We make it after Thanksgiving every year to use the leftover turkey breast, and then roast a turkey breast later in the year just for this recipe. The leftover sauce is wonderful over plain broiled fish, like tilapia or flounder, or even perch.

Great with fresh summer tomatoes. This recipe makes a lot of sauce. I think next time I will half the sauce.
