How to Make It
Combine lard and sugar, beating well. Add eggs; beat well. Sift together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Spoon batter into a greased 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 450° for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
