To Clean: Trim base, and discard yellowed outer leaves. Soak brussels sprouts in heavily salted water for 10 minutes. Lift from the salt water and plunge into cool water. Rinse thoroughly. Cut a small cross in base of each brussels sprout to hasten cooking.
To Boil: Place brussels sprouts with salt water to barely cover in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 20 minutes or until tender. Drain; place in serving dish. Add butter and lemon juice; toss lightly.
Other Cooking Methods: Steam.
Serving Suggestions: Brussels sprouts may be served with any of the following: Almond Butter, Herb Butter, Horseradish Sauce, Lemon-Butter Sauce, Mayonnaise Dressing, or any sour cream sauce.
